Met Opera 2011 - 2012 Season 프로그램

먼 시간이 이렇게 빠르게 가냐. 5월에 검색했던 오페라 시즌이 벌써 도래.
이제 체크해가며 쇽쇽 빼먹는 시간 되겠다.

스케쥴이 벌써 발표가 났는데 어떤 프로그램이 있나 궁금해서 퍼옴. 담 시즌은 26작품이나!!
(플러스 요나스 카우프만의 개인 리사이틀이 하루 있음. 2011년 10월 30일)
이번 시즌은 두어공연빼고 대부분 주말 당첨되는 운에 따라 갔었는데 (덕분에 보고 싶었는데 못 본 것도 많고) 다음 시즌 꼭 보고 싶은 프로그램 몇 개는 적당한 좌석으로 미리 예매를 해놔야겠다. 
 

1.  L'Elisir d'Amore: (Renzetti; Damrau, Flórez, Kwiecien, Corbelli)

Donizetti’s melodic classic is well served by a quartet of bel canto stars: Juan Diego Flórez and Diana Damrau are the unlikely lovers, Mariusz Kwiecien the vainglorious sergeant, and Alessandro Corbelli the dispenser of the elixir.

너무너무 보고 싶은 사랑의 묘약. 거기다 담라우와 플로레스 콤보!!


2. La Fille du Régiment  (Fille du Régiment, L) : (Abel; Machaidze, Murray, Te Kanawa, Brownlee, Muraro) ***

Nino Machaidze is Donizetti’s spunky heroine in Laurent Pelly’s witty production. Her Tonio is Lawrence Brownlee, who delivers all nine high Cs of his famous aria with aplomb, and Kiri Te Kanawa is the Duchess of Krakenthorp.

연대의 딸. 궁금했음. 낯익은 이름들도 보이는군. 12월 시작.

3.  Nabucco: (Carignani; Guleghina, Tatum, Lee, Lucic, Colombara)

Verdi’s rousing biblical d rama stars Željko Lucic and Maria Guleghina in the leading roles, with the Met’s fine chorus delivering the famous “Va, pensiero.”

나부코도 보고 싶었다.

4. Anna Bolena: (Armiliato; Netrebko, Garanca, Mumford, Costello, Abdrazakov) ***

Anna Netrebko opens the Met season with her portrayal of the ill-fated queen driven insane by her unfaithful king. She sings one of opera’s greatest mad scenes in a production that also stars Elina Garanca as her rival, Jane Seymour, and Ildar Abdrazakov as Henry VIII. Marco Armiliato conducts.

5. Manon: (Luisi; Netrebko, Beczala, Szot, Pittsinger)
 
Anna Netrebko’s dazzling portrayal of the tragic heroine in Laurent Pelly’s new production travels to the Met from the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden. Piotr Beczala and Paulo Szot also star, with the Met’s Principal Guest Conductor Fabio Luisi on the podium.   

6.  La Bohème: (Langrée; Hong, Phillips, Pittas, Markov, Carfizzi, Rose, Plishka) ***

Franco Zeffirelli’s vivid Met production returns with Hei-Kyung Hong and Hibla Gerzmava sharing the role of Mimì and Dimitri Pittas as Rodolfo. Susanna Phillips is the flirtatious Musetta.

홍혜경님이 나오신다고 해서. 이분이 나오시는 건 오직 두공연.  11/18이랑 11/22.

7. The Enchanted Island : (Christie; de Niese, Oropesa, DiDonato, Daniels, Costanzo, Domingo, Pisaroni)

Inspired by the musical pastiches and masques of the 18th century, the Met presents an original Baroque fantasy, featuring a who's who of Baroque stars led by eminent conductor William Christie. With music by Handel, Vivaldi, Rameau, and others, the new libretto by Jeremy Sams combines elements of The Tempest and A Midsummer Night¹s Dream. David Daniels is Prospero, Joyce DiDonato is Sycorax, and Plácido Domingo sings Neptune. Danielle de Niese and Luca Pisaroni co-star, along with Lisette Oropesa and Anthony Roth Costanzo. This dazzling production is directed and designed by Phelim McDermott and Julian Crouch (Satyagraha and the Met¹s 125th Anniversary Gala).  

8. Ernani: (Armiliato; Meade, Licitra, Hvorostovsky, Furlanetto)

Angela Meade takes center stage in Verdi’s thrilling early gem. Salvatore  Licitra is her mismatched lover, and all-star Verdians Dmitri  Hvorostovsky and Ferruccio Furlanetto round out the cast.
 
 9. Faust : (Nézet-Séguin; Poplavskaya, Losier, Kaufmann, Braun, Pape) ***

With Jonas Kaufmann in the title role, René Pape as the devil, and Marina Poplavskaya as Marguerite, Gounod’s classic retelling of the Faust legend couldn’t be better served. Tony Award-winning director Des McAnuff updates the story to the first half of the 20th century with a production that won praise in London last season. A later run features two other first-tier Fausts: Roberto Alagna and Joseph Calleja, with Ferruccio Furlanetto stepping in as the devil. Yannick Nézet-Séguin conducts on the heels of his Don Carlo success.

10. Madama Butterfly: (Domingo; Zhang, Zifchak, Smith, Salsi) ***

Anthony Minghella’s breathtakingly beautiful staging returns with Patricia Racette and Liping Zhang alternating as the tragic heroine. Robert Dean Smith and Marcello Giordani share the role of the faithless Pinkerton and Plácido Domingo conducts.

나비 부인 오페라도 좋아하고, 리핑 장이 궁금해서. 12월 시작.

11. La Traviata: (Luisi; Dessay, Polenzani, Hvorostovsky)

Natalie Dessay will put on the red dress in Willy Decker’s stunning production, in her first Violetta at the Met. Matthew Polenzani sings Alfredo, Dmitri Hvorostovsky is Germont, and Principal Guest Conductor Fabio Luisi is on the podium.
 
 드세이와 흐보로스토브스키의 조합. 흐보로스토브스키 공연을 두 차례나 볼 수 있었는데 패스한 아쉬움도.. ㅠㅠ
